Hi I’m Kate

Clinical psychologist, nature lover, paddleboard enthusiast, adventure seeker and founder of Women & Wild. I’ve walked through my own difficult seasons to emerge the other side ready to help you reconnect with your wild, wise self.

I know what it’s like to show up with a smile while quietly running on empty. I’ve lost myself in the juggle of motherhood and mental overload, ill health and the emotional drain that comes when you’re always holding everything (and everyone) together.

I started Women & Wild because…

I know what it’s like to feel lost, overwhelmed and burnt out. Life pulled me away from my values and sense of adventure, but through my own journey of self discovery, reconnecting with nature and building a like-minded community, I rediscovered what was meaningful and reignited my passions.

At 35, in the thick fog of new motherhood, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My whole world fell apart. Somewhere between chemo appointments, sleepless nights and wondering what the future would hold. I made a decision, I wanted to thrive in life, not just survive it.

Since then, I’ve cycled 260 miles from London to Paris, trekked 100km across the Sahara Desert, and hiked 60 miles through Cuban rainforests, not to prove anything, but to reconnect with who I am whilst raising over £40,000 for breast cancer charities in the process. These wild, wonderful experiences reminded me that real healing happens when we reconnect with ourselves, our values, and the world around us. We discover that we are capable of so much more than we realise.

Now, I’m proud to support women with honesty, warmth and understanding. In addition to my professional expertise, I’m here, alongside you as a guide, a fellow adventure lover and someone who truly gets what life’s ups and downs feel like behind the scenes.

I bring over 20 years experience as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, BSc Psychology, HCPC-registered) having supported clients across the NHS, The Priory Group, BUPA and private practice.

But Women & Wild exists because I’ve seen how real change happens not just in therapy rooms, but around campfires, in muddy walking boots or over a coffee when someone finally says, “Me too.”

I work with women who feel like they’ve lost their spark. From busy mums trying to juggle everyone else’s needs to business owners and entrepreneurs, outwardly capable but inwardly stretched too thin.

Whether it’s a one to one session, a reflective walk or a weekend retreat, I create space for you to:

  • Reconnect with who you are beneath the overwhelm

  • Explore what truly matters to you (not what’s expected)

  • Build resilience, gently and sustainably

My approach blends:

  • Evidence-based psychological approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Coaching for burnout, values led living and boundary-setting

  • Nature based and holistic tools that reconnect the mind and body

ACT is all about psychological flexibility, it helps you notice what’s going on inside, shift what’s not helping, and take meaningful steps forward, even when life’s messy.
