About the event

We are teaming up with the fabulous team at RAW Adventures to bring you this weekend in Snowdonia that will have you rediscovering yourself, embracing your inner strength and rejuvenating your energy. Based from a semi-remote Hostel - Lodge Dinorwig, you will switch off from the outside world and treat yourself to restorative time in the mountains with your retreat companions. You will share evening, chalet style-meals and enjoy gorgeous breakfasts before each day in beautiful Snowdonia.

Saturday: Guided by your dedicated Mountain Leader(s), you'll be taking a lesser walked path to the summit of the stunning Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). You'll start in the wooded hamlet of Nant Gwynant before finding yourself lost in time as you pass mountain pools, waterfalls and mining ruins from days gone by. We'll work together as a group to make it to the summit where you'll be treated to glorious views or some stunning clouds, depending on the weather and possibly a wild water dip on the way down to cool your feet.

In the evening you'll be able to unwind and reflect during a wellness session with our Psychologist Dr Kate or enjoy some free time and curl up with a warm hot chocolate and a book or chat with your fellow trekkers about the day.

Sunday: After a good rest you will enjoy a lazy breakfast before hitting the water for some Stand Up Paddleboarding on Llyn Padarn - one of the most famous Llyns (lakes) in Snowdonia, sourced from the water that run straight from the mountains themselves. You'll be paddleboarding on gloriously cold water, surrounded by mountain views. This session is aimed at beginners and all your kit is provided, so don't worry about how good you'll be and just enjoy your time on the water before heading home feeling refreshed and incredible!

RAW Adventures has over ten years company experience, working in mountainous environments, both in the UK and overseas. We are also partners with a number of local conservation charities and have a passion for sharing our interest and knowledge of our natural environment. We work with experienced and knowledgeable staff, providing best possible experiences for you.

Food We will provide all your meals for the weekend (Friday evening to Sunday breakfast) but we recommend bringing snacks for both days, especially for climbing Yr Wyddfa.

Weather: BE PREPARED TO EXPERIENCE A VARIETY OF CONDITIONS At any time of year rain is a distinct possibility, and it can be very cold on the mountain tops in Snowdonia, even in summer. Pack spare layers and be ready for anything!
